How long do the filters last?

The membrane microfilter lasts up to 4,000 litres, and the activated carbon filter lasts around 100 litres (about 2 months of use). The microfilter will naturally stop allowing water flow once it’s time to replace it.

Yes — the bottle and lid are dishwasher-safe once the filters are removed. Always remove the filter before washing and let all parts air-dry before reassembling.

Do the filters remove viruses?

The LifeStraw Go and Go 2.0 filters remove bacteria, parasites, and microplastics, but not viruses. For high-risk travel destinations, you can pair your bottle with an additional purifier.

What kind of water can I use it with?

LifeStraw is designed for tap, fountain, and natural water sources such as streams or lakes. Avoid salt water or chemically contaminated sources.

How will I know when to replace the filter?

When water flow slows or stops completely, the microfilter has reached the end of its life. The carbon filter should be replaced every 2 months or when taste changes.
